According to KKSSR Ramachandran, the Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management in Tamil Nadu, the adverse weather conditions have impacted four districts in South Tamil Nadu, except Thoothukudi and Tirunelveli.

Fortunately, there have been no reported human casualties, although two cattle have succumbed to the weather-related incidents. The minister assured that electricity and milk supplies remain uninterrupted in the district.

As a response to the damage, a team will submit a report on crop loss to the Central Government Inspection Committee, seeking appropriate relief measures. Additionally, efforts are underway to provide food to stranded passengers at Srivaikuntam railway station, with the Chief Minister coordinating relief efforts and medical camps planned for the heavily affected districts.
